RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City -of Newport
Beach on the ;.nth day of September, 1939, passed its Resolution
of Intention No. 1653, to order the hereinafter described
improvement ln be made and public work to be done in ' the City
of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, after the passage and adoption of Resolution',_.

than ten (10) days having expired after the expiration of the
time of the publication of said notice within which protests
or objections to the proposed work or Improvement might be made
by any person interested, objecting to said work or improvement,
or to the extent of the district or lands to by affected or.bene—
fited by said work or improvement and to be assessed to pay the
costs and expenses thereof; and
WHEREAS, ata meeting of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, held on -the &day of / -39,

and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, to order the following described portion of a
certain street, and the following portions of certain alleys and.
certain alleys
In said City to be closed up and abandoned, to—wit:

That portion of Carnation Avenue, 50 feet wide,
adjoining Lot 1 in Block "C" of Tract No. 470,

corde of Orange County, California, extending between
the nortl�wgaterly.line of Pansy Avenue and the south—
easterly line of Orchid Avenue, a.ssaid Pansy Avenue
and Orchid Avenue are laid out and shown upon said map
of Tract No. 31,33, and all that portion of that certain
alley, 14 feet in width, in Block 442, as laid out
and shown upon a map of Corona Del rear, recorded in

The public work ordered and the improvement to.
be made is for the purpose of closing up and abandoning portions
of certain streets and alleys in the City of Newport Beach as
hereinbefore described, and, for that reason no district is'
chargeable for coats in connection therewith.
All of the herein proposed work shall be done in
pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California,
designated "STREET OPENING ACT OF 188911, and amendments thereto.
For further particulars reference is hereby made
to said Resolution of Intention No. 1653, which is dated the
V, th day of September, 1939, and on file with the Clerk of the
City of Newport Beach.
The Clerk of the City of Newport Beach is
herewith instructed to record a copy of this Resolution Ordering
