DISCUSSION ITEMS
1. Subcommittee Report: Fiscal Impact Analysis of General Plan Alternatives — (Attachment)
Subcommittee Chairman Mike McNamara opened discussion on recommendations.
O Airport Area
Motion: DiSano to approve Option 2, as recommended
Vote: Approved unanimously
A separate Motion was made by member Saunders, seconded by member Schwenk, to
recommend to the GPAC that the "Birch/Campus Tract" be allowed to include residential uses.
The motion was approved by a majority.
O Balboa Village
Motion: Hoffman (McDermott) to approve, as recommended
Vote: Approved unanimously
O Banning Ranch
Motion: DiSano to approve, as recommended
Vote: Approved unanimously
O Cannery Village West
Motion: Freeman to approve, as recommended
Vote: Approved unanimously
O Cannery Village East
Motion: Hoffman (McDermott) to approve, as recommended
Vote: Approved unanimously
A separate Motion was made by member Beek, seconded by member DiSano, to recommend
to the GPAC that the current General Plan's policy/practice of encouraging recreational/marine
commercial land uses be continued in this area. The motion was approved unanimously.

Motion: Freeman to approve, as recommended

Motion: DiSano to take no action

Motion: DiSano to approve, as recommended

O Mariner's Mile
Motion: Motion to revisit at August meeting
Vote: Approved unanimously
O Fashion Island
Motion: DiSano to approve, as recommended.
Vote: Approved unanimously
A motion, made by Ms. Hoffman (McDermott), and seconded by Mr. Donnell, recommended
that the Marinapark discussion and recommendations be worked into the General Plan
process. The motion also urged the Marinapark Committee to consider the economic benefits
of the different alternatives when making final recommendations. The motion passed by a
majority.
Chairman Steve Rosansky made a recommendation to end discussion and continue at the
August meeting.
2. EQAC Representative's Report
ITEMS FOR A FUTURE AGENDA
Continuation of Subcommittee discussion.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Ms. Carol Hoffman noted her name change, as a result of her recent marriage, to McDermott. The
Committee offered their congratulations.
