The Board of Trustee of the City of Newport Beach met in.adjcurned Session 7.30 P.M. date and place above shoon. Unfinished business:- City attorney Clyde Bishop reported that on advice of the Street Supt he had not proceeded with the preparation ti.e papers in the matter of prcvidin for a street along central i. ✓e r.t Balboa,request to hold matter up a short. time coming from the r presentative of the Pac Elec,Mr BuCbee to allow the officials of that Ccmpany to look over the gr.ound. .. ... ......... Deed offered by Mrs Neitz for portion.of.lot to.straighten out street n� accepted;demnnd for ;,50.00.approved and warrant ordered drawn; and clerk instructed to have deed recprded;this action being or, motion of trustee G.P.71ilFcn,seconded by trustee fi.ii•Robinson and carried. There being no bids received in the matter of the 020,000.00 street '_idhting issue it was decided to attempt disposing of.sarre by private sale if possible,Mr Engstrom being of opinion that they ' irii;ht be so handled.On motio,. of trustee H.A.Rcbinscn,seconded by trustee G.P.ailson and carried,City Attorney Bishop was instructed to have the bond issue passed on by Orrielvany,Stevens and 1illiken providing cost did not exceed e,50.00. iip;lic9tior. of various property owners to have surf Ave in front off the East. Newport tract sid.ewalri.ed. was referred to the Street Supt. Application of various property owners to have alley in block 30 dirt surfaced for a distance of 100 feet,expense to be borne by said owners, was granted on motion of trustee C.H•'4ay,seconded by trustee, Fi.i..Robinsen•and carried.Said application having been reproved by Street -Supt Barker. ' Request ans made by A.Denois to secure license and operate a punch board'.;sarr.e was granted on motion of trustee C.H,71ay,seconded by trustee ;.P.`ilscn and carried,.:ubject to the approval of the City i;arehal. Harry Dobbs requested that the wholesale and retail liquor licenses .standing in the name of Harry Dobbs and Albert Lane be transferred tq Albert I.a.:e. P "oved by trustee H.A.Robinson,seconded by trustee C.H. "Iny and carried that transfer be made on filing by Albert Lane of proper bond as required by ordinance. L.G.Sanlec proposed to look after the garbage in the territory east ' of 19th Street,the same as he is doing in the west end of towr from i date to the first of the year,he to receive an additional 6.40.00 per month for said service.`.9ork to be done under the supervision of the Street Supt.Moved by trustee H.A.Robinson,seconded by trusteee C.P.751lson dnd carried that the proposition be accepted and ` :treFt Supt irstructed to have him begin the work as soon as convenient. j Letter from Mr Bugbee of the P.E.Ry.Co.concerning the ppening of street along 8entralAve Alvarado to Main 3treets,Balhoa,was laid over until next meeting. On motion of trustee H.A.Robinson,seconded by trustee C.H.:?ay nd carried an executive session was had and the advisibility o2 rt once calling an annexion election was diaeussed at some lengli. On a return to open session it was moved by trustee H.A.Robinson,seco , ided by trustee C.H.77ay that the matter of annexinL?,or attempting to annex outside territo:•y to the City be tabled for thirty daye.CarA°ic Moved by trustee G.P.Wilson,seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson and carried that adjournment be taken sine -die.
