the Board of Trustees being absent,on motion of trustee H.A.Robi-:>,cn
seconded by trustee C.H.'.Vay;and duly carried,trusgee S.R.Jum;oI• .:..
chosen and appointed president of the Board of Trustee-. pro tern.
Roll was called showing pror..ent trustees S.R.Jumpar;K.A..Robinson;
C.H.Way and G.P.°lilson. Absent trustee N,K.Parlcinson.
Unfinished business:- Ordinance #104 being an ordinance of the cill-
cf Newport Beach,amending ordinance #102 therecf,the same be1.r_L :.,.
ordinance providing for the issuanco and sale of the bonds of s ^id
city in the slim of .20,000,00 for the acquisition and constructirn
of a municipal improvement,to- wit:an electric street light!.;:g ^y,',._:
prescribing the form cf such bonds,fixing the rate of interest 2_
paid thereon,the date and place for the payment of such borida and
interest,and further providing a sinking fund for tho p ^.Irwunt n _?
redemption of said bonds,prircipal and interest,by adding; a n;:
section to said ordi'ranre #102 to be numbered section 5- thorcof,
and further by amending sections 6and 7 of said ordinance.
After discussion and consideration the said ordinance §104 was rord
for the second time and placed on final passage on motion of tr•un'. ..
C.H.Way,seconded by trustee G.P.Wilson and carried. The roll u.3
called and the following namod membors of the board of 'trustees
voted in favor of the passage thereof,to -wit: S.R.Jumper, C.Ii.Tay,
H.A.Robinson and G.P.'Vilson. ? ?oes none. Absent trustee ;V.K.Parkir.Eo_i
The President pro tem thereupon declared the said ordinance passod;
and as president pro -tem signed and approved the same.
In the matter of the seuering of 19th street laid over from a formor
meeting;it appearing that the total cost of the improvement would
not exceed b.300.009on motion of trustee C.H.71ay,seconded by trusts:
H.A.Robinson and barried,the Street Supt was instructed to rroceed .rit,r
the work.
Concerning the matter of installing sewer on Newport Ave,the matter
was referred to the street committee and Supt of Streets on motion
of trustee C.H. Way 0seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson and carried.
Report on some to be made at-next meeting.
Moved by trustee G.P.??ilson,seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson and
carried that a committee be appointed to confer with the °.cost Corst
Gas Co and see if it is not possible to abate the unsightly
appearance of their plant on Newport Avo.President Jumper appointed
to serve on such committee,the Street Committee and Supt of Strcc'.:

In view of the fact that the cork on the County Road between
Huntington Beach and Newport Beach is about to be contracted for it
was moved by trustee C.H.Wny, seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson and
carried that a committee be appointed to recommend a highway to rc
improved to the west end of town connecting with the road from
iuntington Beach. President Jumper appointed as such conm it.,tec
? arkinson, L. H .'Vallace,H.A. Robinson, C.H...ay and W.A.Cornelius.
On motion of trustee C.H.71ay,socondod by trustee H.A.Rebirson grid.
