The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach met in adjourned session 7:30 P.11. Monday, April 16th, 1917. President Jumper called the meeting to order and the roll was called showing there were present trustees, S.R.Jumper, Glenn Helms, Heo.P. Wilson, H.A.Robinson, J.C.McCain, Absent, None; t The reading of the minutes of the meetings of April 2nd, and April 9th, 1917 was dispensed with. Attorney Clyde Bishop reported that there was a law on the statutes at the present time covering the cleaning rof weeds and rubbish from vacant lots and stated the he did not think it necessary to pass an ordinance covering same. None. Passing Resolution No. 76 UNFINIS'ED BUSINESS; Resolution No. 76 was intr6duced, read, consider )d MIZE on motion of rustee Glenn Helms, seconded by trustee, H.A.Robin- son and carried, the roll was called, and resolution No. 76 was passed by the vote of the following named trustees, to -wit: A;es, Trustees, S.R.Jumper, Glenn Helms, G P.7ilson, H.A. Robinson, J.C.PrleCain. Noes, None, Absent, None. S.R.Jumper, Presiden of the Board of Trustees, thereupon declared Resolution No.76 passed., signed and approved the same. No. 131 be placed on final passage, the same being an Ordinance of the city of Newport Beach establishing a Board of Health for said city and regulating the appointment of mambers thereof, the roll was called and Ordinance No.131 was passed by the vote of the following named trustees, to -wit; Ayes, trustees S.R.Jumper,Glenn Helms, G.P.Wilson, H.A.Robinson, J.C.IIcCain, Noes, None. Absent, None. S.R.Humper, President of the Board of Trustees thereupon declared Ordinance No. 131 passed, signed and approved the same. NEC! BUSINESS. Ordinance was then presented and read, the same being an ordinance of the city of Newport Beach, governing the wearing of Ibathing suits in publ.c places and providing a penalty for all violations thereof, was passed to second reading on motion of trustee H.A.Robinson, seconded by trustee G.P.17ilson and carried matter of furnishing gas to the pumping plant of the Fairview is Tract was placed in the hands of the Gas Committee. by trustee G.P.71ilson, seconded by trustee, H.A.Robinson and ed that adjournment be taken Sine -Die.
