The Board of Trusteed of the City of Newport Beach met in adjourned session at 1 p.m, Thursday Daly 17, 1919. President Greeley called the meeting.to order, the roll was called showing there were present, Trustees J. P. Greeley, J. J. Sohnitker, A. L. Heard, J. C. McCain. Absent L. S. Wilkinson, UNFINISHED BUSINESS RESOLUTION NUMBER 113- of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, rejecting bids received for certain work upon certain portions of 28th street, 30th street, and 31st street, within said City, and ordering the City Clerk to re- advertise for proposals or bids, for the performance of said work, was adopted up motion of Trustee J. J. Sohnitker, seconded by Trustee J. C. McCain and carried as follows:. Ayes, Trustees J. P. Greeley, J. J. Sehni A. L. Heard, and J. C, McCain. Noes none. Absent, Trustee L, S. Wilkinson. The President declared the adoption of Resolution. number 113. NEW BUSINESS. Mr. Johnathan Tibbetts gave a talk on camping in the City of Newport Beach, and offered his services as camp guardian free of charge. On motion of Trustee A. L. Heard, seconded by Trustee J. J. Sohnitker, and carried, Mr. Tibbetts was appointed camp guardian for the City of New Port Beach, with power to appoint his assistants.. On motion of Trustee A. L. Heard, seconded by Trustee J. J. Schnitker, and carried, Mr, Tibbetts was given authority to pur- chase badges for himself and assistant. On motion of Trustee J. J. Schnitker, seconded by Trustee A. L. Heard, and carried, the matter of a public landing at Balboa was referred to the City Engineer with instructions to furnish plans and estimate of cost of same and report at hest meeting. Ordinance number 155, was introduced and passed to second reading on motion of Trustee J. J. Schnitker, seconded by Trustee J. C. McCain, and carried. It was moved by Trustee J. C. McCain, seconded by Trustee J. J. Schnitker, that the heads of the police department, street department, and gas department, receive $125,00 per month, commencing July lst, 1919, and that teamsters in the street depart- ment, receive $100.00 per month, commencing July lat. 1919, Trustees voting as follows: Ayes, Trustees J. $,•Greeley, J, J. Sohnitker, A. L. Heard, and J. C. McCain. Noes none.- Absent Trustee L. S. Wilkinson, The schedule for the charging of campers-in the City of Newport Beach was submitted by the camp guardian as follows: For a party of seven, or man, wife, and children for one night,25V, for a party of seven, or man, wife, and children, for one week 504 for each additional person 10V, The following schedule was adopted upon motion of Trustee J. J. Schnitker, seconded by Trustee A. L. Heard, and carried. The appointment of Johnathan Tibbetts as a deputy marshall was approved upon motion of Trustee J. J. Sohnitker, seconded by Trustee A. L. Heard, and carried. Adournment was taken on motion of Trustee J. J. Sohnitker, seconded by Trustee J. C. McCain, and carried. 0 City Clerk, .
