Demands numbers 209 to 284 inclusive approved by the Finance Committee., were allowed and Warrants ordered drawn_, on motion `of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson, seconded by Trustee J. C. McCain, and carried. On motion of J. C. NcCadn, seconded by Trustee P. L. Heard and carried, the salary of the firemen was raised to X1.00 per man for each practice. < On motion of Trustee J. J. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, met in adjourned session at 7 :30, P. M. Tuesday September 2nd, 1919. The meeting was called to order by President J.P.Greeley, The roll was,ealled showing the following Trustees were present: J.P. Greeley, J. J. Schnitker, A. L. Heard, J. C. McCain, J. S. Wilkinson. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES. Report of Paul E. "Kressly „-, on public landing at Balboa, was referred to the Street Committee. Request of Glen Helms to construct pier on his property at 24th Street, was referred to the City Engineer for investigation, and approval. On motion of Trustee J. J. Schnitker, seconded by Trustee J. C, McCain and carried, the request of J. A. Beek to construct marine ways approved by the City Engineer was granted. The protest of Joseph Ferguson on the proposed sewer system was read. UNFINISHED BUSINESS. Resolution No. 120. A, resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport) Beach, overruling and denying all protests against proposed sewer system as set forth in Resolution of Intention No. 116, of the City of Newport Beach, Resolution No. 120. was adopted by the following vote to -wit; Ayes, P. Greeley, J. J. Schnitker, A. L. Heard, J. C. McCain, L. S. Wilkinson, Nogs None„ Absent, None. .Resolution No. 121, A resolution of .the Board of Trustees of the City of Nemort Beach, ordering certain -work to be dons, In certain portions of Central Avenue and other streets, to -wit: cons truction of Sevier system and septic tanks.
