On motion of Trustee Geo. P. Nilson seconded by Trustee :T. C. Sloan_ and carried, a idap of Tract.No. 589 being a subdivision of the 'west 150 ft, of the north half of Lot 14 Fairview Farms, was approved but not to be signed and delivered until a blue print was brought in. There being no further business on motion of Trustee Geo. P. ' Nilson seconded by Trustee Conrad Richter and carried, the meeting ' adjourned Sine Die. Approved I'L6 23 en Board o Trustees. ATTEST: e° r City Clerk. City Hall, Newport Beach, Nov. 5, 1923. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met ir- regular session at 7:30 o'clock p.m, on above date. The meeting was called to-order by President J. J. Schnitker. The roll was called showing the full Board. present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The reports of the heads of the departments were read and on motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee Geo. P. 'Nilson and carried, the reports were accepted and filed. Further hearing of protests on Resolution of Intention i�-,o. 250 for vacating a portion of Coast Boulevard were continued to Llonday November 12, 1923 at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The matter of a Certificate of Title for J. H. and Elizabeth Evans covering portion of a lot deeded to them in 1914, was brought up, and City Attorney Bishop stated that from the records the City were not obliged to give them a Certificate of Title. On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee H. C. Sloan and carried, the City Clerk was instructed to return the deed to them with the explanation that vie had no authority to give them a Certificate of Title. The comr.!unications were read and referred to the proper order of business. MIEREAS we advertised for bids on a Comfort Station for the shore end of the Ilevport wharf, and after consideration of all of the bids it appeared to the Board of Trustees that the construction could be done more economically by purchasing the material in the open ' market and const-ruc'ring it themselves. On motion of Trustee Geo. P. I)ilson seconded by Trustee II. C. Sloan the above Resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees J. J. Schnitker, H. C. Sloan, Geo. P. 71ilson, Conrad Richter, L. S. 7,7ilkinson. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustees hone. On motion of Trustee Geo. P. 'Nilson seconded by Trustee Conrad Richter and carried, the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the Comfort Stations at Balboa and Eost Plewport, the bids to be opened on I,:onday, I'.ovember 19, 1923 at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The communication from furry Welch, Publicity Agent was referred to a committee consisting of Trustees Geo. P. C,'ilson and H. C. Sloan. 152 C. On motion of Trustee H. C. Sloan seconded by Trustee Conrad Richter ar-'. carried, the request of John I :Ic illan for two weeks vacation was granted. On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee Geo. P. Wilson and carried, the City Clerk was instructed to notify Ir. Fulkerson that the oil pipe line matter has to be determined by the people at the election to be held on the 20th inst. On motion-of Trustee H. C. Sloan seconded by Trustee Conrad, Richter and carried, that demands No. 621 to 763 inclusive, having been signed and approved by the Finance Committee, were allowed and warrants to be drawn for same. There being no further business, on motion of Trustee H. ' C. Sloan seconded by Trustee L. S. Wilkinson and carried, the meeting adjourned to 7:30 o'clock p.m. on Monday, November 12, 1923. The Board of Trustees of the City of ITewport Beach met in regular adjourned session at 7:30 o'clock p.m. on above date. The roll was called showing President J. J. Schnitker absent, and on motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee H:'C.' Sloan and carried, Trustee Geo. P'. Wilson was elected President pro tem. The-minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Trustee Geo. P. Wilson reported for the committee on the communication from Publicity Agent, Harry ` „elch, recommending the newspaper advertising but thought the allowance was too small for a Float for the, Tournament of Roses, and on motion of Trustee L. S. `.7ilkinson seconded by Trustee Conrad Richter and carried, the advertising in the newspapers as recommended was to be arranged for, but the matter'of the float was referred back for further light as to the amount necessary. A communication was react from Street Superintendent Rinehart, and on motion of Trustee Conrad Richter seconded by Trustee .H. C. Sloan and carried, the action of the Street Superintendent in dismissing the two employees concerned in the raid Saturday was approved. This being the hour and place appointed for hearing objections to the assessment filed October 30, 1923 for the improvement of portions of Coast Boulevard and other streets under Resolution of Intention No. 223, the Clerk reported that no written objections had been filed thereto. The President of the Board then asked if anyone present had any objections but no one responded, thereupon Trustee Ii. C. Sloan introduced a Resolution confi_ °ming the assessment for the improvement of certain portions of Coast Boulevard Place, Coast Boulevard, 29t:_ Street, 36th Street, Finley Avenue and of a certain alley in said City. The Resolution was ordered filed, read, con- sidered, designated Resolution No. 268, the roll was called and the Resolution passed by the follol:ring vote: Ayes, Trustees H.,C. Sloan, Geo. P.
