SPECIAL MEETING
Newport Beach, September 22, 1941.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met in Special session
In the City Council Chambers, at the City Hall, in the City of Newport Beach on
above date at 2:30 o'clock p. m. with Mayor Gordon presiding.
The roll was called, the following Councilmen answering present: Reed,
Claire, Allen, Brown, Gordon. Absent, Councilmen: None.
The Call for the special meeting was read by the Clerk, the purposes
set forth in the Call for the meeting being as follows:
"To consider and act upon the adoption of a resolution approving in
general the program for improvement requested by the Orange County Harbor
Commission-11
"To consider and act upon the matter of City Docks."
On motion of Councilman Claire, seconded by Councilman Reed and carried,
the Call for the Special Meeting was ordered filed.
The report of City Engineer Patterson and County Engineer Beard was
presented, and after due consideration of same, it was moved by Councilman Claire,
seconded by Councilman Allen and carried, that the report be approved and ordered
filed, whereupon Councilman Allen moved the adoption of the following resolution:
"The City of Newport Beach through its City Council has by Resolution
adopted this 22nd day of September, 1941, approved in general the program for
Improvement requested by the Orange County Harbor Commission and submitted for
your consideration at this hearing." The motion for adoption was duly seconded
by Councilman Claire and the resolution was passed by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Reed, Claire, Allen, Brown, Gordon.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None.
I, Frank L. Rinehart, City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach, hereby
certify that the above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Newport Be -h at a Scileeting thereof held on
the 22nd day of September, 1941.

Construction The matter of the construction of docks and finger slips fronting on City
of docks and owned property situated.on the North Channel of the Bay, was brought up and dis-
slips. cussed at length, a specimen agreement the City of Newport Beach and prospective
lessees of dock privileges was presented for consideration, and on motion of
Councilman Claire, seconded by Councilman Allen and carried, the form of agreement
was approved.
Adjournment All the business contained in the Call for Special Meeting having been
disposed of, it was moved by Councilman Claire, seconded by Co cilman Allen and
carried, that an adjournment be taken Sine Die. - ..
