CURRENT BUSINESS:
Appl for 1. The Application for License of Marsh Dozar Associates
License to conduct an auction for a house at 2145 Ocean Blvd. on
CA 63 August 22, 1964, was approved.
R -6018 2. Resolution No. 6018, authorizing the execution of a con -
C -930 tract with Terhune- Pritchard Associates for a classi-
CA -45 fication and salary survey, was adopted.
Clgy. Mgr 3. The City Manager's request to attend a three day semi-
nar preceding the City Manager's meeting in Chicago
CA 46 was approved.
4. Councilman Marshall stated that the Newport Harbor
we ort Chamber of Commerce has approved the excise tax

C of C proposal in principle and has offered to work with the
CA 107 City on the proposed rate structure.

5. The meeting was recessed at 7:40 P.M. to handle the
Recess Personnel Session, to be reconvened on the call of the
Mayor.
The meeting was reconvened at 8:58 P. M. , with all
Council members present except Councilman Forgit.
Resign. Because of the City Attorney's resignation due to appoin
of City ment as a Judge of the Huntington Beach Municipal Cour
Atty. the Council announced that recruiting will be commences
CA 46 to fill the position. The City Manager was requested to
prepare a rough brochure regarding the matter for pre-
sentation at the next Council meeting.
Adyourn The meeting was adjourned at 9:02 P.M.
