Mayor Gruber called the Special Meeting to order. The
City Clerk read from the Notice of Meeting the purpose of
the meeting which was to consider the recommendations of
the "Committee for Examination of Applicants for the
Position of City Attorney and to Screen Applicants and Make
Recommendations to the Council ", and to appoint a City
Attorney, All Councilmen had signed the Waiver and
Consent to hold the Special Meeting.
Councilman Stoddard, Chairman of said committee,
reported that the Committee recommended the appointment
of Tully Seymour, presently employed as Assistant City
Attorney and the Acting City Attorney.
Resolution No. 6057, appointing Tully Seymour City
Attorney and fixing his salary at $15, 000. 00 a year, was

City Attorney Seymour briefly described consideration he
is giving to the possibility of handling the prosecution of
all misdemeanor cases in his office.
