was presented with the findings of the Planning
Commission. Two letters from Mrs. Bette Lee,
letters from Harriet and Joseph Skiba, Mrs. Betty
Hart, and Xina Greisch opposing said Use Permit,
were presented.
The following people spoke from the audience opposing
subject Use Permit: Dan Gilliand, President of the
Peninsula Point Association, J. B. Wassall, and
Joseph Skiba. Applicant Perry Bell and Patrick

a study proposal which would enlarge the study
now being conducted by the Bechtel Corporation
which would encompass the preliminary design
,for the dual purpose plant based on an artificial
island site as well as a site near Corona del Mar,
stating that the study is to be completed by the
end of the year.
(c) A letter from Congressman James B. Utt stating
he shares the views expressed in the resolution
.of the City of Newport Beach.
(d) A letter to Mayor Gruber from R. A. Skinner,
