Ca acr Enterprises/28 Pepper Tree March 15, 2019 1.0 Introduction At the request of Capaci Enterprises, Yanchar Design & Consulting Group has completed field measurements and an acoustical analysis of the spa equipment located at 28 Peppertree, Newport Beach, CA. 2.0 Project Description The property is a single-family residence. The spa equipment is located approximately 3 feet from the eastern property line. The adjacent property to the east is a single-family residence. The two properties are separated by a 6 -foot -high concrete masonry wall. The City of Newport Beach requires a sound test by an acoustical engineer is required to demonstrate that the noise level from the pump is less than 55 dBA at the property line. NBMC10.26. 025. YANCHAR DESIGN & CONSULTING GROUP 2 Capad' Enterprism/28 Pepper Tree March 15, 2019 2.0 Field Measurements Measurements were made at the site on March 15, 2019 to determine the average sound level of the spa equipment at the property line There was considerable background noise due to aircraft overnights and automobile traffic on the San Joaquin Transportation Corridor. The pool equipment measured 54.4 dB A at the southern property line with the equipment operating at normal conditions. Therefore, the equipment meets the requirements of the City of Newport Beach Municipal Code. A Bruel and Kjaer Model 2231 Integrating Sound Level Meter, Serial Number 1413393, and Microphone Model 4189, Serial Number 2305616 and CEL Instruments Model CEL -284/2 Calibrator, Serial Number 4/09023134, were used for the measurements.
