Responded six times since March 2020 In coordination with OCTA, ensured improvements at the Transit Center and enforcement of regulations Placed 33 people into Project Roomkey Evaluated shelter options, including a regional shelter opportunity with the City of Costa Mesa Secured funding for shelter and shelter services through agreement with Hoag - $3 million over ten years Success Stories Housing a 30 -year homeless man in an apartment in Irvine Housing a 10 -year homeless mother and daughter, 97 and 67 years old, in Tustin Housing a 3 -year homeless veteran in Heroes Landing ► Housing a 6 -year homeless man in a sober living home ► Housing a 10 -year homeless man in the Lucerne Valley ► Housing 4 families who had been living in their vehicles Since March 2020, City Net has moved 56 people into shelter locations, engaged in 1,287 outreach contacts, and fielded 166 hotline calls Moving Forward - Next Steps ► Consideration of a regional shelter opportunity and Memorandum of Understanding with the City Costa Mesa for 20 shelter beds Consideration of additional funding through the Community Development Block Grant motel program using Federal CARES funding Consideration of a Permanent Supportive Housing Project in the City to house up to 50 individuals - a 3 to 5 -year process Planning the January 2021 Point in Time count with City Net Develop Partnerships with local non -profits and faith -based communities to provide better engagement and resources.
