Dear Rush: etther Pa y ^ /
It is with regret that I must resign from the Newport Beach Economic Development Committee effective immediately. I
have accepted a position with Taylor Woodrow Homes and will be immersing myself in my new responsibilities over the
next several months. I'm very excited to be working with Taylor Woodrow, especially since one of my assignments will
be developing the Upper Castaways property on which they recently started construction.
I would like to take this opportunity to commend you, the members of the EDC, the City Council and City Staff for the
commitment to the Economic Development Committee and its goals to promote a healthy economic environment in
Newport Beach. And, I encourage you to continue this important work which will have the result of ensuring healthy
businesses and, in turn, dependable tax revenue for the City to support its high level of services.
Please be advised that Carol Hoffman, Vice President, Entitlement and Community Relations with The Irvine Company
will be assuming my duties and, as such, I would like to suggest her continued participation on the Economic
Development Committee in my place. I will leave this matter in your capable hands to take the appropriate steps in
considering her participation. Feel free to call her at 720-2303.
With a new project here in Newport Beach, I won't be too far away and I'll look forward to seeing you in the near future.
Best wishes for continued success with the Economic Development Committee.
Sincerely,
Tom Redwitz
