2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE ,CITY
09 NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A NEW ELEMENT OF
3 MASTER PLAN ENTITLED 'MASTER CAPITAL IMPROVE-
MENT PLAN"

5 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the City Council
6 have heretofore adopted a Master Plan of the City of Newport Beach;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport
9 Beach after notice and hearing in accordance with the requirements
10 of the State Planning Act has adopted a "Master Capital Improvement
11 pro+ as an element of the Master Plan of the City of Newport Beach
i2 and
13 WHEREAS, said "Master Capital Improvement Plan" consists
14 of a map which is attached hereto on which are shown the general
15 locations of existing and proposed schools, community center build
16 ings, parks, playgrounda, fire stations, and libraries; and
17 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has certified and trans
18 nitted said "Master Capital Improvement Plan" to the City Council
19 for its consideration; and
20 WHEREAS, the City Council, after notice, has held a
21
public hearing on said "Master Capital Improvement Plan", in accord
22 ance with the requirements of the State Planning Act; and
23 WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in
24 the public interest to adopt said "Master Capital Improvement Plan"
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of t e
26 City of Newport Beach hereby adopts said "Master Capital Impr4vsmex
27 Plan" as an element of the Master Plan of the City of Newport Beat
28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Cleric are
29 authorised and directed to .sign said "Master Capital Improvement
30 plan" to show that it has been adopted by the City Council, and It

is further directed that the same be placed on rile with the Masts

Transmitted herewith is Resolution No. 667 which was adopted by the
Planning Commission on September 17, 1964. '
Copies of these documents should beforwarded to the City Council and at
the meeting on September 24r 1964 the City Council should set the matter
for public hearing audp if in order# 'should adopt by resolution on the
public hearing data the map showing the Master Capital Improvement Plan.

RESOLUTION N0, 667
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A NEW ELEMENT OF THE
MASTER PLAN ENTITLED "MASTER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PLAN"
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the City Council
have heretofore adopted a Master Plan of the City of Newport Beach;
and
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Planning Com-
mission a '"Master Capital Improvement Plan" consisting of a map
on which are shown the locations of existing and proposed schools,
community center buildings, parks , playgrounds, fire stations , and
libraries; and
WHEREAS, after notice the Planning Commission has held
two public hearings in accordance with the requirements of the State
Planning Act and has reviewed said"Master Capital Improvement Plan"
as shown on the attached map;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission
of the City of Newport Beach does adopt said "Master Capital Improve-
ment Plan" as an element of the Master Plan of the City of Newport
Beach,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman and Secretary of
the Planning Commission are hereby directed to certify and transmit
said "Master Capital Improvement Plan" to the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach for consideration.
Regularly passed and adopted by the Planning Commission
of the City of Newport Beach, State of California, on the 17th day
of September, 1964,
