Hi, My name is Cindy O'Shea and I own Cruisin Tikis Newport which is a marine business in Newport Harbor. I was advised that the CC meeting tonight was going to address businesses that were shut down during the state lockdown - item #19. Our business was shut down from March 17, 2020, until June 1st, 2020. It took us a bit to get reopened. Additionally, the lockdown in Dec. impacted our business because people canceled thinking we were shut down and out of fear when we were not. This misinformation caused us about $10k in Dec, Christmas cruises. I fully support CC Will SMith and Mayor Brad Avery's proposal to mitigated business license taxes during this time.
