Subject: Master Land Use Plan Amendment
The attached resolution, if adopted by the City Council, will
amend the Master Land Use Plan of the City to reclassify
certain areas as recommended by Planning Commission Resolution
No. 664 adopted January 2, 1964.
This resolution should be submitted to the Council for adoption
if, after the hearing on the matter, it is decided to amend the
Plan as recommended.

SUBJECT: Planning Commission Resolution No. 664 which proposes to
amend the Land Use element of the Master Plan.
Transmitted herewith is Resolution No. 664 adopted by the Planning Commis-
sion on January 2, 1964.
Copies of these documents should be forwarded to the City Council and at
the meeting on January 13, 1964 the City Council should set the matter
for public hearing and, if in order, should adopt by resolution on the
public hearing date, the new map showing the amendments to the Land Use
element of the Master Plan.
A large map will be on display in the Council Chamber at the study session
on January 13.

RESOLUTION NO. 664
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS
TO THE MASTER LAND USE PLAN (AMENDMENT NO. 9)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the City Council
have heretofore adopted a Master Plan of the City of Newport Beach,
which said Master Plan includes as a unit thereof a Master Land Use
Plan, adopted by the City Council on July 18, 1963; and
WHEREAS, changed conditions and further studies by the
Planning Commission indicate that the Master Land Use Plan should
be amended to reclassify certain areas of the City as shown on
Drawing No. L-1121 entitled "Master Land Use Plan Amendment No. 9" ,
dated January 7 , 1964; and
WHEREAS , after notice and hearing in accordance with the
State Planning Act, the Planning Commission has reviewed said
amendments to the Master Land Use Plan as shown on said drawing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commis-
sion of the City of Newport Beach does adopt said amendments to
the Master Land Use Plan in accordance with the attached Drawing
No. L-1121 entitled "Master Land Use Plan Amendment No. 911, dated
January 7 , 1964.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman and Secretary of
the Commission be directed to certify and transmit said amended
Master Land Use Plan to the Council of the City of Newport Beach
for consideration and adoption.
Regularly passed and adopted by the Planning Commission
of the City of Newport Beach, State of California, on the 2nd day
of January, 1964.
