the General
Plan
Amendment,
rezoning,
and
construction
of a multi-
family
complex at
4302 Ford
Rd.
To whom it
may concern,
I live on Port
Charles Pl.,
about 1/8 mile
from the
proposed
project. I’m
general, I am
not opposed
to city growth.
In fact I
consider it to
be an asset.
After looking
at this
proposal, I fear
not enough
diligence was
done on the
infrastructure
plans to
support the
additional
requirements.
For example,
the increase in
traffic and
parking will
not be
sustained on
the current
roads which
tend to back
up at rush
hours already.

Another
concern is that
traffic will cut
through the
Port Streets
neighborhood
to exit an
alternate
route. While in
most
neighborhoods
I wouldn’t
be bothered,
as they are
public
residents with
access to
publicly
owned
resources. But
as you are
aware, this
particular
community
has a high
density of
elementary-
aged children.
And one of
two exit routes
during rush
hours is
directly past
Andersen
Elementary
during school
hours in the
morning. I fear
for the safety
of the kids.
