I am vehemently opposed to this project for the following reasons: 1) Harbor View residents pay enormous taxes to live here and do not need the increased stress that an additional condo, but most likely apartments will bring at the edge of our community. 2) The project is a public safety risk that could result in injuries and possibly deaths. The project as designed will create a major hazard at the entrance with cars speeding up a ramp with their view possibly blinded from small children and bikes at the top of the ramp. The project is a threat to the safety of our kids and the community. 3) The communities enjoyment and use of the park will be greatly impeded. 4) While the developer (Hines) has suggested they will build Condos, in all reality they will likely build apartments for three reasons: a) the financing for apartments is much more favorable than the financing for condos 2) If Hines were to build condos, Hines would have ongoing liability for construction defects for 10 years which is why very few developers build condos. With apartment development the liability is much less. 3) Once the apartment is completed and leased it is much easier to sell than a bunch of condos. In either case- condos or apartments, I am a NO vote. Sincerely, Craig Mueller 2015 Port Chelsea
