Mr. Zdeba,
I have never written a letter to our city planning office in the 20 years I have lived in
Newport Beach.
The reason, is while I have worried about over development and some other things
about this city, I trusted that the city government would make the best decisions in the
best interests of the residents.
This proposed development for condos/apt at the corner of MacArthur and Bonita
Canyon is ridiculous.
The park is heavily used 7 days a week. Old Ford Road has enough traffic as it is -
having more housing next to the Port Streets and the park will create an unbelievable
amount of traffic on the weekdays and weekends.
We could not be more opposed to this project. A greedy developer who could care a
less about the neighbors and city, proposes to build more expensive condos.
The city needs to find a way to make this public use land - bigger park so that the
community can use this area.
PLEASE do not let them build condos or other housing there. We need to preserve the
space that we have in Newport so that we are not just concrete and condos.
Also, please let me know when the city counsel will meet to discuss this vote.
