Subject: Concerns regarding propose Newport House Apt development at Bonita
Sports Park
Dear Mr. Zbeba,
I am writing you this email in regards to the proposed Newport House Apt/Condo development. We
have serious concerns about the prospect of having such a development right at the door step of our
family oriented community.
This type of complex should not be planted right in the middle of such an area. How does a condo
complex fit into a quiet family community? The increase in traffic will not only add the already
increasing congestion, but will pose a danger to pedestrians and children riding bikes. There is already a
considerable amount of cars parking at Bonita Canyon and I am quite sure that the overflow of parking
from this development will end up in our park parking lot.
Why is it not possible to keep some of the very few open spaces that we have left in this community?
Newport Beach is becoming the next Los Angeles - I have lived here for 30 yeas and am extremely
concerned about the increase in traffic and construction. This community was not created to house so
many people and there is not enough infrastructure ie. roads, parking, schools to deal with this sort of
influx. The few open spaces are what makes our community great and keeps it from becoming a
nightmare of cars and high rise buildings. We understand that money talks but isn’t it time that the city
of Newport Beach take a stand to protect our beautiful coveted community? We all know there aren’t
many places left like this in the entire world.
