Subject: Proposed Newport House
Dear Mr. Zdeba,
I am a concerned neighbor of the proposed Newport House development project. I live on Port Ashley
Pl, and I am writing because I believe this project is extreme hazardous.
The way the driveway is currently designed, it will be EXTREMELY hazardous to pedestrians attempting
to visit the park, and our children who would like to bike to their schools.
I am also extremely concerned that the parking is a steep ramp, with a turn, and not enough room to
turn around. Delivery trucks will have to back out, up the hill, plus turn to exit? All of this while looking
out for children and families who use that sidewalk up above to access the park? How is this safe??
It also does not seem to allow for enough parking at all. I am concerned because on a typical weekend
there are many cars on this street from sporting games, and not enough parking for everybody now as
is. This development will only make matters worse.
I believe this development needs to be further evaluated. This area should not be granted zoning
changes, and this property should not be developed as it is currently proposed.
Please do not approve this development.
