The more I read about this project, the more annoyed I get. We have grandchildren that use the park and will one day ride their bikes to CDM High School, like our children did (back in the day). Having three drive ways in close proximity does not make scene. 21 units would mean 42 or more car and more congestion with more opportunity's for accidents. Going to work is going to be quite a challenge, with all the school traffic to both Anderson and CDM leaving at about the same time and this does not include construction and daily help traffic. I just don't get it, why does every single piece of land in Newport Beach have to be built on. Best wishes, Anna Soft Enamel Lapel Pins custom made to order - MartinNYC.com Please check us out. I will keep your email as part of the public record and will attach it to the Planning Commission staff report as correspondence received when this project goes for public hearing. There was a Planning Commission study session held Thursday last week to introduce the project to the Commissioners and the public. No action was taken at this meeting. The agenda packet and a video recording are available here. The environmental document for the project is available here. Filing an entitlement application is a right of the property owner and the City must process the application to action (i.e., approval or denial). Moving forward, there will be a public hearing with the Planning Commission wherein action will be taken on the project. From there, this project will still require two more public hearings: one with the John Wayne Airport Land Use Commission and ultimately one with the City Council where a final action will be rendered. On that note, I will add your email address to the interest list, so I can keep you informed as to when any upcoming hearings are going to occur. Thanks again and please contact me if you have questions. All my best, Ben Z. BENJAMIN M. Why is Newport Beach even considering this project. Do we not have enough condos and apartments in our area??? Please disapprove this project, we did not chose to live in Irvin’s, but Newport Beach when we moved here 34 years age. All the best, Anna Soft Enamel Lapel Pins made to order - MartinNYC.com
