Subject: 4302 Ford Rd Project
Hi Ben,
My husband and I recently purchased a home in the Port Streets (on the side closest to Ford Rd & the
Bonita Canyon Sports Park). I am writing you to ask to to deny the Developer of the above mentioned
project’s request to amend the General Plan. We are specifically moving from our home in Corona Del
Mar to enjoy the benefits of a family friendly neighborhood. We are looking forward to our children
living there so that they can safely ride the bicycles, play outside, enjoy playing sports at the Bonita
Canyon Sports Park, etc. This project would impact the parking at the public facility immensely and
would create more congestion with cars, people, etc. The General Plan was created for a very specific
reason…to keep Newport Beach the beautiful city that we all love. It seems to be that we are being
overwhelmed by Apartment Building Projects and I see the impacts on the traffic in CDM every single
day. Every year since we moved here, it has become exponentially worse!
Please deny this project. It will greatly affect our new life in the beautiful Port Streets and there are
plenty of other Apartment/Condo projects for people to move to without destroying our new family
neighborhood.
