We enjoy living in a great master planned community. From my perspective, a small infill apartment/condominium project is very inconsistent and detrimental to all the beautiful master planned projects surrounding that area. The most worrisome part of such an infill project to the city could be the erosion of home values in the surrounding developments that could cause the city to loose tax dollars. I would think that a city parks management and maintenance facility would be a much better use of that property. Fifty miles an hour speed limit on San Miguel Road is also very inconsistent with other roads with even busier traffic in the city of Newport Beach. Marguerite has a 45mph speed limit with a 35mph speed limit next to the Oasis Center. Children cross San Miguel at Pacific View to go to Lincoln School. I ask you to bring the speed limit to a much safer 35mph at San Miguel and Pacific View and also along the section contiguous with the city park. Also I believe the community would be much safer with a 45 mph speed limit for all of San Miguel. Thank you for receiving my opinions, Linda Ford 1824 Port Stanhope Pl., Newport Beach, CA.
