Traffic will increase, parking will decrease, our quality of like will be impacted with pollution, noise and our children and pedestrians will be at risk of getting hit by the increasing traffic that I witness now on a daily bases as I live on Newport Hills Road, and Port Sheffield backing up to Ford Road. I have lived here for 39 years. Raised my family here. There is no place we can move that is more affordable for us. It is dishonest for Mr. Hinz to suggest that he is helping divorced people and aging grandparents to move to a smaller more affordable home, when his representative told the planning commission the cost will be $700 to $800 per sq. ft.. The contradiction is an insult. Especially when you are aware that these will be purchased and rented out or just become an apartment building....NONSENSE ! If the Newport House will not offer our community positive impact and not cause harm, you should not approve it. I have been working with Keith Curry, our former Mayor, Tony Brien, and even Jeff Herdman trying to get a handle on the traffic as it is now!!!!! NO ONE STOPS for children on bikes, seniors walking and on and on. Please do not allow this very massive project be squeezed onto 1 acre. It simply does not fit and is harmful to our community. None of the people being impacted have been informed until this week. It is not fair that Mr. Hinz has been working on this for years and we are just being informed. PLEASE help us to reduce this project to one that is more suitable for i location and help keep our community safe. THE HEALTH, SAFETY, WELFARE,AND LIVABILITY OF THE COMMUNITY ARE PRIMARY IMPORTANCE TO THE RESIDENTS OF NEWPORT BEACH. " ENHANCE OUR COMMUNITY AND DO NO HARM " We have all worked very hard to achieve these values. Bobbi Robinson.
