Benjamin,
I'm a resident nearby (1701 Port Charles) and my 3 kids play at that park nearly every
weekend. I also run by often and know the space well.
Our association just let us know that there is a pending zone application for a 21 units with 63
bedrooms on the 1 acre lot. I, and many residents nearby, have a number of concerns about
capacity there and what it does to the park usage (principally parking), Ford Road traffic and
parking on Ford Road. It seems at a minimum there should be enough parking in the project for
1 spot per bedroom plus delivery/service/visitor parking so the city's parking lot is not full of
apartment building residents.
I'd really like the City to consider buying the land from ATT to prevent more development and
am wondering who I can talk to at City Hall to bring it up to the city council. Let me know what
you think for who we should talk to.
