SUBJECT: REQUEST BY THE BALBOA BAY CLUB TO
SUBLEASE A PART OF THE PREMISES FOR
A BARBER SHOP
Attached is a letter from the Balboa Bay Club requesting
permission to sublease a.three chair barber shop on the
premises. The lease between the City and the.Club,provides
for City Council approval of any such sublease arrangements.
The term of the proposed agreement would be four years,
expiring on June 30, 1985. The rental formula proposed in
the Bay Club's letter is consistent with that established
in 1978 for all such sublease arrangements at the Club.
Page 2 of the attached Resolution.contains the referenced
formula. The Bay Club assures the City that the proposed
subleasee, Patricia Prolux, dba "For the.Man," is of good
character and would make an excellent tenant.
It is recommended that the City Council adopt Resolution
No. approving the proposed sublease arrangement.
