Dcsaiption: The mobile home load bearing suppons are manu&c►ured from 10
sod 13 gauge steel. The support legs (shine) are fbnned from 10
gauge (Eiaes 10" the 24"), which are welded to btu support base and
to a 3/4 techwasher at the top. Ofshothree support legs, two ere
near vertical, welded at the cornet of tho base. The third log is
welded to the center of the opposite side of the base and slopes to the
top, The support base is fbrmed from 13 gauge material. The 3/4
inch washer at the top acts as a stifliaer as well sa tin support for the
adjustable spew jack The mobile home load bearing supporta are
painted with a rust inhibitive minuet.
The adjustable screw jack is composed of a 13 gauge, 3" x 4" long
steel bang pad with a 3/4" lip on one aide. The bearing pad is
centered on and welded to a 5/4" threaded stud. A 3)4" nun is used
for adjustment and also w transfer the load from the adjustable jack
to the support. The screw jack should never be extended more than a
u eadsnum of two ichee above the bearing surface of the support when
installed.

QUALITY CONTROL
The quality control program for the manufacture of the mobile home load bearing
perimeter supports would be a000utpliebvd as T0lnws.
Load bearing supports would be sampled at be place of manufacture on the basis of one
perimeter for each 1000 units of a size mandecaured for distribution in California. The
perimeter supports would be randomly sampled, measured and tested fbr conftmnance to
the fisting card. The samples would be tested ht ow compaction machine (Former Model
2000 nit, 400,000 pound capacity). The perimeter supports would be placed squarely in
the machhte and loaded to fable. If the sample falls to support aload of at lean 3 tines
the relied dapacity, five perimeter supports of that size would be sampled and tested. The
avenge of these five with a factor of salty of three would substantiate the old listing or a
revised listing would be requested -
Beek perimeter support will be kend5ed with the facsimile as shown below The
identification tag is to be fastened onto the metal base plate. The stamp shall he legibk on
each perimeter sapport..
