For almost a decade, Starfish Laguna Beach has been a celebrated and rejoiced Pan Asian
Concept. Starfish has decided to expand and open a new store which will bring the undeniably
hip, approachable, and sexy vibe to Newport Beach. This new store will showcase an extensive
take-out menu that will transport your senses to the coastlines of Thailand, Vietnam, China, and
Japan. Starfish Newport Beach will also boast a clever little wine bar with limited seating. If
you’re lucky enough to get a reservation you will feel like a VIP surrounded by a richly designed
environment.
Starfish Newport Beach requests a minor use permit. This would allow a new restaurant to
replace an existing retail space. We are proposing to construct within the existing walls and
footprint. The current gross floor area is approximately 1,818 square feet and the new Starfish
restaurant occupies approximately 1,658 usable square feet.
The planned hours of operation are as follows:
-Sunday thru Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
-Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
The total number of employees: 35
Public seating/dining: 16-20 (233 SF)
