Dear Mr. Langson:
This letter presents geotechnical parameters for use in the analysis of the bulkhead wall at the subject site.
These values are applicable to both the dredge fill and bay/beach sand material present at the site.
Unit weight = 115 pounds per cubic foot
Friction angle = 30
o
Coefficient of friction = 0.25
Active pressure (moist) = 30 pounds per cubic foot equivalent fluid pressure
Active pressure (Submerged) = 14 pounds per cubic foot equivalent fluid pressure
Hydrostatic Water pressure = 62.4 pounds per cubic foot fluid pressure
Active pressure (Total Submerged) = 76.4 pounds per cubic foot equivalent fluid pressure
Passive pressure = 340 pounds per cubic foot equivalent fluid pressure
Passive pressure (Submerged) = 160 pounds per cubic foot equivalent fluid pressure
