Community Impact Team (CIT) Program Update

Study Session
• September 14, 20211 City Council approved $30,000 grant agreement with
Trellis International - non—profit organization located in Costa Mesa, CR
• Trellis works with the homeless and housing insecure
• Community Impact Team — Voluntary service program
• Participants gain work experience and skits
• One—year commitment
• 8 or more work projects per month
• 3-4 volunteers and 1 supervisor at each project
9 Type Projects: trash/debris cleanup, vegetation trimming, graffiti/sticker removal/ etc.

4 months into the 36 projects completed 100 Volunteer hours
agreement 11 different locations
Other Notable Community Project Rcfivifies:
✓ PCH (River Jetty to Dover) -cleaned signs, benches, electrical boxes
✓ Civic Center -cleaned handrails, signs/maps, electric vehicle stations, elevators
✓ Lido Bridge -cleaned rails and walls

200 Bags of trash collected

✓ 4 homeless encampments discovered, 25+ large items collected, Resident encouragement and thanks
