PL01: PLAN APPROVAL
The approval letter dated March 24, 2020 is still valid. This approval letter is for the additional work of the new deck.
"The perimeter deck drainage system will be tested and evaluated in the field. Ensure there is no pooling of water
anywhere on the deck.
"Since the concrete paver deck was already installed prior to a subdeck inspection, random pieces of the pavers will be
required to be lifted to verify the 4 foot concrete subdeck. The location of these pieces will be discussed prior to
inspection.
Plans for the above project have been reviewed by this Agency and are approved, subject to the conditions listed in this
letter and on the approved plans. Alterations or changes to these approved plans must have prior approval by the Plan
Check Section of Environmental Health.
The approved plans shall be valid for a period of two (2) years from the date of approval or as extended by the enforcing
agent.
All public pools and ancillary pool facilities must be connected to an approved potable water supply. Please check the
following link to ensure your pool facility is connected to an approved water district or municipal water source:
http://www.ocgov.com/abouVinfooc/links/oc/water. If the pool facility is not supplied by a municipal source, and is
supplied by a private well, you must immediately submit to Orange County Environmental Health required written
verification that the water source meets the standards of the California Safe Drinking Water Act and is acceptable for a
retail food establishment.
Inspections are required before guniting (or backfilling), before laying decking pavers, before plastering, and prior to
placing the pool(s) in use. Such inspections are to be arranged at least 10 (ten) working days in advance. The pool
contractor shall notify this Agency when the pool and its appurtenances have been constructed and equipped in
accordance with the approved plans. The pool shall not be placed in use until written approval is received from this
Agency.
It is the responsibility of the owner or owner's representative to submit the completed Health Permit Application,
supporting ownership documents, and pay the first annual health permit fee no later than one business day prior to the
final health inspection. Payment of the health permit fee does not constitute plan approval or approval to operate. A final
on-site inspection and approval, with a plan checker sign -off, are required to obtain a health permit and place the pool
into use. You may pay in person 8am4:30pm Monday through Friday or by mail:
