Please be advised that on May 06, 2022, our office received notice of local action on the coastal development permit described below:
Application No. 5-NPB-22-0334
Local Permit #: CD2021-001 (PA2021-099)
Applicant(s): Gerson Bakar & Associates
Description: Installation of rock fall mitigation consisting of anchored mesh, K-rail barriers, and temporary tarps in select locations to prevent rock fall and landslide debris from impacting Back Bay Drive below the Park Newport community. The project also includes the installation of solider piles
supporting tow existing residential structures (Building 4 & Unit 4830) within Park Newport to mitigate against landslide risk.
Location: 5000 Park Newport Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660 (APN(s): 440-132-52, -53)
Unless an appeal is filed with the Coastal Commission, the action will become final at the end of the
Commission appeal period. The appeal period will end at 5:00 PM on May 20, 2022.
