A study session will begin at 4 p.m. Agenda
Items include:
• Film permit regulations and management. Staff will provide an overview of the City's film
permit regulations and practices and how they compare to those in other Southern California
cities.
The regular session begins at 5 p.m. Agenda items include:
A public hearing on a code amendment related to the implementation of Senate Bill 9. SB9,
which became law in January, mandates that California cities permit the construction of two
units on a single-family zoned property and the subdivision of a single-family zoned lot into
two lots. In November, the City Council directed staff to prepare a municipal code
amendment for consideration that meets the SB9 mandates while including restrictions
necessary to maintain neighborhood character and uphold the health, safety and welfare of
the community.
