Project Description:
A General Plan Amendment, Zoning Code Amendment, and Use Permit Amendment to change the
land use designations from RM (Multiple Residential) to PI (Private Institutions) and allow the existing
commercial building to be utilized as a private school.
The applicant, Pacifica Christian High School, requests the following applications from the City of
Newport Beach:
• General Plan Amendment –The proposed amendment is to change the General Plan
designation from RM to PI to allow for a private school use.
• Zoning Code Amendment – The proposed amendment is to change the Zoning Code
designation from RM to PI to allow for a private school use.
• Use Permit Amendment – A use permit to allow a private school to operate at the subject
property.
