In accordance:with the City's policy on the development
and maintenance of arterial highway parkways,we recommend accept-
ance of dedication of both lots. Further, in accordance with the
policy, the City will accept maintenance responsibilities for the
areas shown on the attached map, but not for the bulbs forming
the entrance to Cameo Shores.
Thearea to be accepted for maintenance represents a 5'
strip separated from Hampden Road by a f'enc.e. The strip has a
sprinkler system in it and has been maintained for' t.he: last year
by the developers. We will be. assuming approximately 8,.160 sq. ft.
of area for maintenance. The Parks, Beaches & Recreation Director
estimates that the cost of maintaining this type of landscaping to
be 54 per sq. ft. per year. Hence it will cost approximately
$408.00 annually to maintain.
After consultation with the. City Attorney, it is further
recommended that this property be accepted as an easement dedicat-
ion for street and highway purposes. This would be in accordance
with previous .dedications of property for similar purposes.
