Process for Approval and Deployment
•Recommendation from the Harbor Commission on merits and
priority for the pursuit
•Recommendation from the Harbor Commission to add the project
to the Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
•City Council approval for the project,inclusion in the CIP,the
pursuit of grant funding,and commitment to funding shortfalls or
matches
•Apply for grant funds through the Clean Vessel Act,Division of
Boating and Waterways
•A public hearing with Community Development (CDD)on the
project including notification to nearby residents and other
interested parties
•Issuance of an Approval in Concept by CDD which can be taken
to other relevant regulatory agencies as required
•Issuance of permits from other regulatory agencies as required
•Design confirmation and construction
