SUBJECT: RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Mayor
and City Clerk to accept a deed from
George C. Vane for a parcel of ocean -front
property on Balboa Peninsula.
DISCUSSION:
Proceeding with direction from the City Council to acquire
certain parcels of ocean -front land on the Balboa Peninsula,
the first parcel is in escrow and will be deeded to the City
in the near future. Cost of this lot was $16,750.
The City will be reimbursed for one-half of this amount upon
completion of.the transaction, by the Land & dater Conserva-
tion Fund.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A.GRANT
DEED FROM GEORGE C. VANE IN CONNECTION
WITH THE OCEAN -FRONT BEACH ACQUISITION
PROJECT
WHEREAS there has been delivered to the City of
Newport Beach a certain grant deed dated 71,zY17 (::-
wherein GEORGE C. VANE grants to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
the following described real property in connection with
the Ocean -Front Beach acquisition project:
Lot A of the "Newport Tract" as
shown on a map recorded in Book 4,
Page 16 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to
accept said grant deed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that said grant is hereby accepted,
and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to execute and
attach thereto a certificate of acceptance and consent to its
recording and to cause said document to be recorded in the
Office of the Orange County Recorder.

Newport Beach will hold a public hearing regarding the acquisition by the City
of all privately owned parcels on the Ocean Front.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FL rHER GIVEN that the said public hearing will
be held on the 26th day of April 19 76 ,
at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council (umbers of the City Hall of the City
of Newport Beach, California, at which time and place any.and all persons
interested may appear and be heard thereon.
