Hi all,
I'm really excited that we're approaching GPAC appointments! I will not be able to attend in person on short notice,
would I be able to pass along a written statement?
My current job is as one of the Deputy Campaign Managers on Rick Caruso for Mayor's efforts up in LA. I'm still a full
time Newport Beach resident, but am working long hours through November 8th supporting this election. I lead our
campaign's advertising efforts, data program, field program, and our policy development for Climate and Business. I
firmly believe that much of LA's policies will impact Newport Beach and hope to help with GPAC.

Thank you for applying in response to the City’s Notice of Vacancies for the newly created General Plan Advisory
Committee (GPAC). The GPAC is an important group that will help ensure the community is engaged in providing
guidance and recommendations on changes to goals and policies as part of the comprehensive General Plan update.
Your civic commitment is evident through your application and is very much appreciated.
We are writing to let you know the General Plan Update Steering Committee (GPUSC) will be discussing the applicants
at a meeting this Thursday, October 13, 2022, beginning at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. If enough qualified
applicants are identified, the GPUSC may formulate a recommendation on the list of applicants to provide to City
Council for confirmation and appointment. We apologize for the late notice, but encourage you to attend if you are
able to do so. As a note, your attendance at the GPUSC is not required to be recommended for the GPAC.
