HomeMy WebLinkAboutPA2022-0221_20221006_Security PlanSECURITY PLAN FOR OCEAN 48 NEWPORT BEACH, LLC PROPERTY ADDRESS 151 NEWPORT CENTER DRIVE, NEWPORT BEACH, CA The following is the outline of the Security Plan for Ocean 48 Newport Beach, LLC, which will own and operate a fine dining restaurant specializing in seafood at 151 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach, CA. 1. Security Camera System: There will be a total of twelve (12) security cameras in the restaurant. Eight cameras will be on the ground level restaurant area. The eight cameras will cover the front door, the emergency egress doors from the private dining areas, the back door, the service yard, the cook line and the dishwashing area. Four cameras will be on the mezzanine level. The four cameras will cover the manager’s office, the common area walkways, and the stairwell to the mezzanine. 2. Twenty Four Hour Security Guards: The shopping center in which the restaurant is located provides 24 hour security guards. 3. Staff Training: Staff training will include various security training issues, including but not limited to the following: a. If a problem arises, staff is instructed to immediately report the matter to the proper emergency authorities, i.e., the police department, fire department, or paramedics. There will be two or three places within the premises at which the telephone numbers of emergency services are listed and a telephone is available. b. If a patron appears to be “out of place,” staff is instructed to make contact with the patron, determine where he or she should be, and escort the patron to the proper location, or escort the patron from the premises if the patron has no business in the restaurant. c. Staff will be instructed on how to property close the restaurant to insure no persons remain in the premises and the premises are properly locked. Ideally, closings will be done by a team of two employees. 4. Limited Cash and Limited Access: Only a limited amount of cash will be retained at the restaurant. Further, only specific limited employees will have access to the cash available at the restaurant. 5. Lighting: The restaurant will be adequately lit at all times during restaurant operations.
