•Can’t require correction of unrelated nonconforming
conditions or building code violations, except for health
and safety, as condition of ADU/JADU permit
•Objective Standards
•Prohibits enforcement of subjective standards
•Staff Recommendation-Remove requirement for ADUs
to have similar architectural styles, colors, materials as
main home
•Helps with upcoming “pre-approved plans”
