CITY COUNCIL AGENDA
ITEM NO. F-13
SUBJECT: EXCHANGE OF LAND FOR RELOCATION OF SEASHORE DRIVE
CUL-DE-SAC
RECOMMENDATIONS:
/G a 1. Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the
f%3 Quitclaim Deed to the Orange County Flood Control
yy02,- District.
2. Authorize the City Manager to accept the Quitclaim
Deed from the Orange County Flood Control District.
DISCUSSION:
The new Santa Ana River Bridge for Pacific Coast Highway
required the relocation of the existing Seashore Drive cul-de-sac
at Summit Street. The relocated cul-de-sac encroaches on property
owned by the Orange County Flood Control District. The District
has offered to exchange the required right-of-way (1368 S.F.) for
an equal area of City -owned property adjacent to the Santa Ana
River. The Flood Control District will use the City property for
the Santa Ana River Mainstem Project. The City property to be
exchanged was acquired from Caltrans in 1980. Attached is a map
showing the parcels to be exchanged.
