weCfare and providing a safe and nurturing environment for animals in need; and
%&JET< S (FONBAS volunteers, in coz junction with the City'sAnimatControlOfficers, serve as many as 500 dogs, cats, bunnies,
guinea pigs, and other pets in temporary care per year; and
'GU3iERW, TONBAS has worked since 2017 to raise funds and awareness for the construction of a new, permanent animalshefter
in the City of Newport Beach, California; and
WWJ Tff,,S, FOXBAS has raised over $3.2 million dollars to date from more than 1,500 private donations, purchased Land in the
city at 20282 Riverside Drive, anddevelopeda new modern animafslzelter; and
` VMT<M, TONBAS has generously donated the new shelter to the city; and
`+Y&R S, EONBAS has demonstrated a remarka6fe commitment to enhancing the quality of fife of the community and improved
the lives of our animals; and
`Gl&T,4 S, we express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to TONBAS for their tireless efforts to promote animafweffare and
for theirgenerous contribution of the new animalshelter to the city; and
`W. Tff,,9S, we recognize the invatuaffe rote that (FONBAS has played in helping to improve the fees of animafs in our community
andfor their dedication to promoting responsible pet ownership andazzimalweffare and making Newport Beach a more compassionate
andhumane community; and
WMT", we commend cFONBAS for their unwavering commitment to buifding a new, state-of-the-art animafshefter for the city;
