Ms Brown, I will be speaking during public comments about the Orange County Sustainability Decathlon. Could you please forward this email to the council and the city manager? The links below my signature block provide information about the decathlon. I've spoken to the Newport - Mesa school board and they were very supportive. I will be asking the city to fund school lunches which cost us $18.50 per lunch. 1000 lunches would be $18,500 and 2000 would be $37,000. We received $5 million from the state, $100,00 from the county, $50,000, from the city of Irvine, and $19,500 from the City of Costa Mesa to fund the Wyland exhibit. ' We would love to put the city's logo on our website, OCSD23.com Several other residents will speak to this as well. City council involvement in this process wreaks of book banning - for any reason. Let professionals do their jobs and leave politics out of it. > Best, > Kathi Blanning > 481 Morning Canyon Rd. > Corona Del Mar, CA 92625
