It carries over to any subsequent permit issued for the project; it does not change.  The hearing on 5/24 is for extension of the 3-Year expiration date.  The permit reissuance is for when a permit expires due to being more than 180 days of inactivity (not having a qualified inspection) or when there is a change in contractor/design professional.  I hope this answers your question.  Regards,  <image001.png> Tonee Thai, PE, CBO, CASp  Deputy Community Development Director / Chief Building Official  Community Development Department  Office: 949-718-1867  100 Civic Center Drive  Newport Beach, CA 92660  From: Mark Luer <22lou@sbcglobal.net> Sent: May 17, 2023 5:34 PM To: Thai, Tonee <tthai@newportbeachca.gov> Cc: David Wagner <drw1701@gmail.com> Subject: Re: 3235 Ocean Boulevard, Corona del Mar  Hearing Officer - May 24, 2023 Item No. 1b Additional Materials Received Three-Year Construction Limit Extension 3235 Ocean Boulevard X2018-0411 5 Tonee,  I have a question regarding 3235 Ocean Boulevard. Looking at the permit records I noticed that Permit XR2023-0602 was issued on March 3, 2023. I can not see the copy of the permit but the description says that it "replaces expired permit X2018-0411." Did their original permit already expire and did the City issue a replacement permit? If so, what is the hearing for on May 24, 2023 if the City has already issued them a permit?  Thank you,  Mark Luer  On Friday, April 28, 2023 at 08:30:03 PM PDT, Thai, Tonee <tthai@newportbeachca.gov> wrote:   Hi Mark,  Yes, the public is permitted to attend and provide comments.  Regards,  <image001.png> Tonee Thai, PE, CBO, CASp  Deputy Community Development Director / Chief Building Official  Community Development Department  Office: 949-718-1867  100 Civic Center Drive  Newport Beach, CA 92660  Hearing Officer - May 24, 2023 Item No. 1b Additional Materials Received Three-Year Construction Limit Extension 3235 Ocean Boulevard X2018-0411 6 From: Mark Luer <22lou@sbcglobal.net> Sent: April 27, 2023 1:16 PM To: Thai, Tonee <tthai@newportbeachca.gov> Cc: David Wagner <drw1701@gmail.com> Subject: Re: 3235 Ocean Boulevard, Corona del Mar  [EXTERNAL EMAIL] DO NOT CLICK links or attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.  Tonee,  Thank you for your response.
