I am writing on behalf of the Board of Directors for Linda Isle Community Association in Newport
Beach. It has come to the attention of the Association that a public hearing has been scheduled
for Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 11:15 a.m. to consider a request for an extension for construction
at 87 Linda Isle.
The Association would like to provide some detailed knowledge regarding this request that you
may or may not have received in conjunction with your review of this request. This project at 87
Linda Isle has been ongoing for nearly nine years. The original, initial submittal to the Association
by 87 Linda Isle was received in 2013 and the final approval of the project was communicated by
the Association to the owner in 2014.
The Association understands that there are delays, especially considering the global
circumstances we have all been presented with, however the Association would like you to
consider the length of time this project has been pending, many extended periods of time with
no work being completed, and the impact it has on several matters, but most importantly the
right to quiet enjoyment of the neighboring owners.
