Re: Agenda Item No. 11 — Resolution No. 2023-43, Intent to Override
Airport Land Use Commission Finding of Inconsistency for Newport
Place Planned Community Amendment (PA2023-0082)
On July 20, 2023, the Airport Land Use Commission unanimously determined the
proposed amendment consistent with the Airport Environs Land Use Plan.
Commissioners did indicate they remain concerned about residential development
near the John Wayne Airport. As a result of the Commission's action, Agenda Item
No. 11 is not necessary and should be pulled from the agenda.
