Coast Highway Please be advised that after reviewing the subject application, your submittal has been deemed incomplete and further information is required before we are able to proceed with the application process. The following documentation is required to complete the application: 1. Please further clarify the types of amplified music that will be allowed. The project description and proposed floor plan call for a DJ station, but are other types of performers, such as a band or automated speaker system, proposed as well as part of this application? 2. Provide a clearly labeled existing and proposed floor plan, with existing and proposed seating count and net public area. Is the seating count and/or layout proposed to be modified to accommodate the live entertainment setup? A proposed floor plan has been provided but does not explain the requested changes from existing conditions. Additional comments from the Newport Beach Police Department and Public Works Department will be forthcoming during the next round of application review. Upon verification of completion, the application will be processed and scheduled for a Planning Commission Hearing. Please be advised that this list of conditions of approval does not guarantee that staff will be able to make all of the required findings to approve the application in a positive manner. All draft conditions are subject to modification, and additional conditions may be recommended as the application undergoes additional review. Planning Division 1) All applicable conditions of approval adopted as part of Use Permit No. 3627 and Planning Application No. PA2018-283 shall remain in effect. Building Division To be determined Fire Department 1) Any changes to the approved seating and occupant load design will require a review by Newport Beach Fire Department. 2) No portion of the design egress pathways can be obstructed by the new equipment. 3) No use of special effects such as, fire, smoke, visual effects created by a chemical compound or other items that would potentially cause fire/panic hazards.
